Speeding up the web

Many people were ecstatic when DLS and cable speeds reached 3MB per second. Many were thinking, it can’t get any better than this.

According to a USA Today article, many are in for a big surprise. According to Comcast CEO Brian Roberts “a download of a billion bits per second is completely doable.” CableLabs, plans to endorse this new technology that will let operators boost speeds 400% to 1,600%, over their existing lines. That could dramatically affect how people use the Internet when the new modems to handle the speeds arrive, which is expected to be in 2008.

So why did I bring this up on an expired domains blog?

Quite simply, the faster the connections to the internet become, the more people will be surfing, the less frustrated surfers are when visiting a site, the more traffic domains or websites should receive.

This new technology should be released in 2008 and we should see another burst in the growth of the internet. Get ready for the future, buy as many expired traffic domains as possible, and reap the rewards from foresite.
