Get listed in Yahoo in under 24 hours
When I first heard about this technique almost a year ago, I did not believe it. But after giving it a try, I proved myself wrong. I just remembered this technique when trying to improve my blog visitors and decided to share it.
I created a website about Vin Diesel, Movie celebrity. I never expected Yahoo and MSN to notice this website for next couple of months and how could I expect it to?. There was no other promotion or search engine listing I did for this website. I just created RSS feed for my website and submitted this feed to Yahoo. Yahoo search engine notices the submission of RSS feed very quickly (sometimes within 24 hours) if you follow these steps and this way I was on the first pages of Yahoo (and MSN also).
- You need to have the RSS feed for your website. If its a blog, then its very easy to find the RSS feed. It would be your http://free-poker-strategy.blogspot.com/atom.xml . It might be different for different type of blogs.- Now Log in to My Yahoo. You shall see “Add Content” tab at the bottom.- Click on the “Add Content” tab and you shall see a input box for “Find content”.- Next to this “Find Content”, there would be “Add RSS feed” link. Click on this link.- Add the URL (For ex: http://student-debtconsolidation.blogspot.com/atom.xml in there. and finally click on the “Add to Content” button.- Now you can see your blog content in your My Yahoo homepage.
It has been my observation that Yahoo takes notice of the My Yahoo content very quickly. Try it out on your own and let me know how it works for you.
