Domain traffic
Website and domain traffic generally drops off at this time of year. It usually starts at daylight savings time because we have more sunlight and people tend to spend more time outdoors. The drop in traffic generally lasts until the end of august and beginning of september. You should generally see a 20% drop in website visitors during this time, but should not see a big change in revenues decreasing. The ppc revenue created generally stays the same due to advertisers dealing with less overall traffic and up their bids to pay for highly targetted traffic during this time. If you have seen this drop in traffic, you should not be alarmed unless you have also seen a large drop in revenue. Your rpm and cpm should increase as your unique daily visitors decrease. The traffic should return during september and your rpm and cpm should remain about the same during that time because of the holidays and more people using the internet. So if you were concerned about a drop in traffic, I just wanted to share some helpfull insight into the normal traffic during this time of year.
