Moving to the internet
I was reading an interesting article this morning that sheds some insight into the growth of the internet, and the future of advertising.
We are all aware that the internet is constantly growing at a rapid pace. But are we aware at how fast it is taking over other advertising venues. Gone are the days when 90% of all people rely on waking up and reading the newspaper for an hour or two. The internet gives us the ability to search and sort through mountains of information, see the breaking headlines, and easily skip over the articles that we find less interesting.
With the internet having this effect on the traditional forms of media, we start to realize just how effective online advertising can be. Weather you are looking to pay to advertise on a well established website, be seen by far more people for half the cost, or weather you are looking to put in a little effort and optimize your pages to be found easier in the search engines.
